    Hi All.

    Quick question..

I am trying to create the following.

A call comes into 3cx, phone rings and screen is popped, internet explorer with a url depending on the caller ID.
http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=%callid%&meta= (where %callid% is the incomming caller id number.)

This does not work, where am i going wrong, and is this possible to acheive?

    I use the 3CX softphone client v 7.0.4124.0

    Hi, Roshen

    Quick answer:
In the preferences dialog, into the "Notify external program" field specify the browser you prefer, for instance "iexplore.exe" or "firefox.exe" (without quotes).
Then, into the "Program parameters", type "http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=%callid%" (without quotes). That's all.

Explanation: the "program" means any executable file - ie .exe, .com, .bat, .cmd and so on, while the "parameter" will be passed to that program when opening.
The simplest way to check desired combination, before using it into the phone, is to type the whole string into the Windows Start/Run command box, such as
"firefox.exe http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=%callid%" If it works (of course, it keeps %callid% as is) then it's ok to use it into the phone, and when a call from 101 is incoming, the Firefox will open with page "http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=101"

    Regards

    Hi all,

I have a few ring groups set up so that I can route calls to certain people depending on what DDI the call comes in on.

I would love to be able to open a webpage exactly as described above (%callid%) but with the group name or DDI number as the parameter passed to the URL. Can anyone advise what the Parameter name would be to display either the group name or the DDI number.

I have the group name appended to the Caller ID on the softphone which works well, just need this last piece to work.

    Many thanks,
    Mick
