    Device Info
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Phone Model: iPhone
    Generation: 3GS
    Firmware Version: 4.2.1
    Jailbreak: NO
    Cydia Installed: NO

    Issue Info
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Handset: Phone
    Contacts: Local
    Connection: WiFi
    Server: External

Hopefully a simple question to get my configuration correctly entered.

(In case you are not aware BT Boradband talk allows you to use a softphone for your home number, and works in conjunction with an alternative phone number tied to your BT home router (external SIP server).)

I believe my issue is between my ears - I cant seem to get the correct setting matched to the fields in the 3CX iphone app.

Here is the info I am basing this on : http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/voip/3699427-using-bt-home-hub-just-as-a-voip-gateway.html
what I am hoping someone can help with is how this can be matched up to the fields in the settings :

(here is what I have tried)
    [all other settings are default]
(the 44*********** is the telephone number with 44 as UK country code)

I am guessing this is a simple translation issue between BT terminology and 3CX and I would appreciate any pointers please.

    Thanks - David.

Re: BT homehub softphone (broadband talk)

    I have a small guess.
Ur Provider needs 2 Proxys which is very rare.
    &SIPOutboundProxyAddress=sip.btsip.bt.net
    &SIPProxyAddress=btsip.bt.com
As you can see we only have one proxy filed. You may can run a test with our 3CXPhone for Windows (XP Vista 7...) and set it up with this first due to it is the most advanced client we have. If this fails, i dont see much hope for the setup in the 3CXPhone for iPhone

Thanks for your help. after all the fiddling I have done I have not been able to get it to work. According to some other posts I have read BT don't use a 'true' SIP protocol so it may be impossible. I will keep looking for a solution and update if I find something new.

Whilst looking at the same thing, I found this page - http://www.btbba.co.uk/BBT_on_Hero.asp - on how to set up BB Broadband Talk for a client called "Sipdroid". Clearly, that doesn't work on an iPhone, but it may be possible to work out the right settings from that page.
