v12 vs v6

    I've been using v6 for a few years and love that softphone.

    I've installed v12 today and cannot register an extension. Does v12 actually require the 3CX Phone System to function? v6 certainly does not.

    Yes, version 11 and 12 were designed specifically for use with the corresponding versions of the PBX. Version 6 of the phone functioned with "other" providers as well.
