V15 install error - source file not found [solved]

    I just tried to upgrade from V14 to V15 and had an error.
    I backed up the system and then uninstalled the V14.
    Then restarted to server and started the V15 instal. Somewhere at the end it pop ups an error;

    Source file not found:
    c:\users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\3cx\3cx Phone System 15.0.56008\install\disk1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

    Server is windows 2012 r2 and V14 is running very well.

    Any idea?

    Does the cabinet file exist in that location?
    Seems Windows installer cannot extract the setup. The 3CX installation expects after extraction of exe to find a cab1 file in that location and its not there.

    Can you check if you can install any other software? Looks very strange

    Can you give full windows updates? Maybe "Windows installer" version is problematic on this machine.

    I have some trouble on Windows Server 2008 R2.
    Ver 14 works fine.

    Hi I suggest the following; please try it.
    1. Go to this location c:\users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\3cx\ and delete this folder.
    2. Download 3CX Phone System.exe again do not run it but download it please.
    3. Ensure that your system is up to date with latest updates.
    4. Restart machine/host.
    5. Install again 3CX Phone System from downloads folder.

    Let us know how this will go if problem still persist send us a pm so we will access machine and check.

    Problem solved after installing all the latest Windows update. Thanks for support.
