VAD - Prompt Plays at incorrect time

    Hi

    We have created an IVR with VAD and all components are working as expected except for 1 External Code Execution component.

    We are required to make a SOAP connection to a CRM provider and do a validation based on DTMF provided by a caller. We have a prompt component which states: "Please wait while we validate" which is positioned before our code execution.

    Our problem is that the code execution component is started before the prompt, and only after the validation is completed does the prompt play.

    Has anyone experienced this before? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, the problem pretty sure is that you're setting AllowBargeIn=True. That causes that the prompt is queued until a menu or user input component is reached. Change the property to False and the prompt should be played immediately.

    Hi Ernesto,

    Thanks for the timely response. Unfortunately your advice did not resolve our problem. We changed the BargeIn setting on numerous prompt components that were either directly before/after the External Code Execution or near by. We will however continue tetsting with this new information in mind and will revert back with updates.

    If you have any other helpful directions please let us know

    Hi there,

    Setting AllowBargeIn=False in the PromptPlayback component just before the ExternalCodeExecution component should do the trick. But If not, please enable Verbose logging as explained here, and send us the 3CXIvrServer.log file so we take a look.
