When placing a collect call, it's common to ask the party receiving the call to accept or reject the call BEFORE the two parties are connected.

Obviously in our case the initial party is already in a call to the VAD, so how do we prompt the receiving party to accept the call, and when they do, connect them with the person who initiated the call?

From a VAD app you can only transfer the call in blind mode to a new destination, and then the VAD app is disconnected from the call. That means that you can't talk to the destination before the call is transfered.

The only way would be splitting this in 2 calls, and having 2 VAD callflows:
    1) The VAD callflow 1 receives the call from the user.
    2) The VAD callflow 1 makes a call to the destination and connects it to the VAD callflow 2. Then it waits.
    3) The VAD callflow 2 asks the user if he/she wants to take the call, disconnects the call and saves the result into a database for example.
    4) When the result is in the database, the VAD callflow 1 can take it from there and if the call is accepted, it blindly transfers the call to the destination.

In this case, the destination will be receiving 2 calls. First a call to confirm, and then a call from the external caller.

    Kind regards.
