Valid Phone Number...

    Hello all.. Please forgive me for what I hope will be a simple question!

    While trying to set up a new VOIP provider, I am prompted for:
    External number:
    Authentication ID:
    Authentication Password:
    Maximum simultaneous calls:

    For these, I enter the information provided by Broadvoice. When I click on Next, I get the error "Please enter a valid external number." I am entering the ten digit phone number provided by Broadvoice in the format: aaapppnnnn. I have also tried 1aaapppnnnn and (aaa) ppp-nnnn. All of these generate the same error. What should I be entering?

    i always enter numbers in 3cx as aaapppnnnn (no dashes or spaces).

    I was pasting the information from broadvoice. I found that I was pasting the number as well as a trailing space. Problem solved...

    DO not paste! trust me. Not even the password.

    type it in!
