verifying recorded names in the system

    for the recorded names and company directory to work, the person has to record their own name..

    why not just use the first 3 letters or so out of the name that is typed in the extension??????

    is there a way to verify the letters that the system recognizes currently ?

    we have one user in the system that the 3cx can't find when someone searches by name.

    because if you have 3 people with these names
    John Smith
    Jeff Smithson
    Joane Smint

    If you dial 764 it needs to say
    For John Smith, press 1
    For Jeff Smithson, press 2
    For Joane Smint, press 3

    It does this in their voice, as dialects and pronunciations of NAMES is not easy to replicate with automation. Thus, it uses the recorded named.
    However, the "###" uses the actual name in the extension setup for name matching as far as I know - but they have to have their voice name recorded as well.
