Hey

I have installed the beta version, but having some problems.
When I "PBX delivers audio" and "Bind to Media Server" there is no audio in the phone. But if I remove them it works.

Then MOH doesn't work.

And also Stun is not working because I'm behind a symmetric nat.

Thanks
Michael

LOL,

well what do you know I had a similair problem. Drove me starr crazy, but got it fixed now.

Problem I had (Might not be the same as you) was on the phone.

The gateway and the 3cx box had the same IP address.

There is a new version out, not sure what the version number is:

ON the download page it shows: v3.1.2295
But when you install it it shows: v3.0.2328.0

So not sure what is going on there, but I guess it is monday in cyprus so you cannot blame them to much LOL.

Henk,

I have updated the version, but the same result. Any other ideas?

Thanks
Michael

Michael,
Do you have more than one NIC on the 3CX box?

archie,

No I have only one NIC and the box is only running 3cx software

Thanks
Michael

It is not a STUN server address (see bold text), it is address of PBX host.

You are right, but all the lines are configured to "Specified IP" because stun don't work with my firewall and Ports are forwarded to the PBX.

I don't know why it's still logging Stun events, tried to disable it without any luck. Even tried to set it to 127.0.0.1

This is from another call

Hi Sy

I have seen that but my firewall is symmetric. Try read below link

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3489.txt

How do you think we implemented STUN without reading this information? ;)

Your NAT is not symmetric I'm almost sure :)

Hmm, "back up the truck"

Stun should just happy work with the firewalls, you can make it work and it will work.

Archie was already hinting towards it (I sill owe you that beer mate :)).

Its what I call a split horizon (it is not really the good term for it but it sound sexy enough).

Questions:

In your phones, can you configure the:
Registration server [IP of the 3cx server]
Gateway [IP address of your EDGE router]
Proxy server [IP of the 3CX server, not really needed but if it takes it use it]

The more info the better, it is a config thing I guess so if we can map out your network we work it from there.

Either mail me (I gotta charge for this one day I made a lot of "friends" since I am on this forum LOL) or send a network map to the 3cx guys.

From why I see I think they are pretty compliant with the RFC's.
