    Hi,

Does anyone know how much bandwidth is required to make One-on-One video call?
Also any idea about what codec is being used?

    Thank you.

    Hello @techdummy,

The Video codecs that the PBX uses are VP8, H263-1998, H263 (you can check this in the windows client under your account's Advanced settings ).

Now for calculating video conferencing bandwidth, you can make a conference test call and monitor the bandwidth throughput from the Performance tab of your task Manager

Giving you just a number wouldn't be the right approach as the scenarios and needs vary.
I would recommend making a conference test call similar to the average calls you are going to have(number of participants etc) and test.

For linux you can do this with nmon or nload

    Commands:
apt-get install nmon-for installing the pachkage
nmon and then n for network monitoring

Personally for network monitoring i prefer nload as it's simpler(nmon has many other monitoring tools though, check it out)

    Commands:
    apt-get install nload
    nload
(by pressing enter it will switch to the loopback monitoring mode)
