    hi!

i have the following question - should there be a voice message when call is transferred to the voice mailbox? when i call to extension which is not available there's only silence in my system... at the same time in logs i see the following receord:

[MS007005] Call(76) Ext.0001: Failed to open file "C:\Program Files\3CX PhoneSystem\Bin\..\Data\Ivr\Prompts\Sets\8210986B-9412-497f-AD77-3A554F4A9BDB\record_your_message.mp3" to play on EP 00000073@x.x.x.x. 'silent' RTP stream will be sent.

is it something wrong with my system?
    thanks in advance

Seems like server cant find the message to play, try to change prompt language on the web admin page just to see if it works, if it does then that means you have files missing on your server for you other language.... a reinstall would solve that problem...

    Cheers

Have you tried it as a wav file? Try recording the VM message from another phone for that extension. It should save as a wav file not an MP3.

I haven't tried MP3 yet on 3CX but it might help troubleshoot what's going on.

I have exactly the same message on a Windows Server 2003 web edition, after installed the latest version of CX available :

" [MS007005] Call(1) Ln:10000@VoIPCheap : Failed to open file "C:\Program Files\3CX PhoneSystem\Bin\..\Data\Ivr\Prompts\Sets\8210986B-9412-497f-AD77-3A554F4A9BDB\record_your_message.mp3" to play on EP 00000001@. 'silent' RTP stream will be sent.

The is the default setup. What's wrong ??

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thx,
    Olivier Charlier,

I never make mp3 works at current version (3.1 Build 2434). It should be wave file in PCM, 8 kHz, 16 bit, Mono format at VM default greeting, VM personal greeting, recorded voice message and prompts. The MP3 at such folder may be for test or other propose. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
