When someone leaves a voice mail message, when they are done recording, there is usually about 1 min 30 secs of blank air, its almost like when they hang on, it doesn't dissconnect on the fxo gateway. we are using a audiocodes mp-118 fxo.

Hi nateb

I'm not familiar with the AudioCodes products but I had a similar problem with the LinkSys 3102. Check you've got the right regional tones set so that the gateway can recognise the Disconnect tone. I also had to play with the CPC (Don't ask me what it means! :) ) settings.

Hi, I have the same problem with my SPA 3102. I have found the right disconnect tones, but it doesnt work either.

Which settings do you use for cpc ?

Hi netpet,

I'm in the UK so these settings might not work for you.

I found more than one source for UK disconnect tones and they differed! The ones on http://www.3amsystems.com/ worked for me.

In the PSTN Line tab, PSTN Disconnect Detection section:
Detect CPC is set to yes
Min CPC Duration is set to 0.09
Detect Disconnect Tone is set to yes
Disconnect Tone is set to 400@-30,400@-30; 2(3/0/1+2)

I'd also recommend setting as many possible tones as you can in the Regional tab.

Let me know how you get on!

where

Where do you change these settings in the audiocode device? Here is a copy of my ini file :
