Voicemail problems

Hello,

I'm encountering problem while using voice mail. I configured my extension with voice mail activated after 20 seconds but when someone calls me, after 20 seconds, he does not hear anything after the usual ring tone. So blank sound : no voicemail greetings is played.
Another problem : when i'm calling form my extension 999 in order to listen to voicemail, even nobody can leave messages, i can't access to option with pressing digit 9. I press it and blank prompt (no voice, no option after pressing 9).
Last question : how may I cutomize eacho extension voicemail prompt ?

I am having the same problems. I am running 3cx (free edition) on a Windows 2008 Guest of Hyper-V.

The system runs very well, smooth playing of audio prompts etc, nothing else seems to be a problem, apart from the voicemail systems.

When an extension logs into VM, you get the extension, password prompt and an announcement saying you have no new messages, and then additional options. If you press `9` for options, nothing happens. The line goes dead but does not disconnect.

It's the same if you go to leave a VM, as soon as the call hands off to the VM application, the line goes dead, no audio, nothing; once again, the call does not drop however.

Any ideas?

The guest system is

Windows 2008 Std edition
2GB RAM
1.95Ghz Processor (hypervised)
 
The problem is related to the rendering of mp3, isn't it?

Is it? All other prompts work ok, although i assume they are WAVs. How can this issue be resolved? is it because 3CX doesn't have it's own MP3 codec?
If this is an MP3 problem, how can it be resolved?

3CX requires DirectShow filters to be able to read the content of audio/video files.
Try to install one of codec packs which are available (Media Player Codec Pack, K-Lite codec pack etc.). it will resolve your problem.
Another way is to convert all prompts to wav format and modify the prompt set.

As you explained, i installed KLite Code Pack. Restart everything but still encountering no prompt after choosing option (9) in the voicemail menu.
