I am having problems setting up voicemail greetings.

    Here's whats happening.

Dial voicemail number (100 in my case, changed from 999)
    Enter Extension & PIN
    Press 9 for options
Press 8 to record new greeting

Get a busy tone and the following shows up in the log :

??: from 'newburyhill-svt:0/MediaServer':EP 0000002D@. Recording cancelled. Failed to open file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\RWV2.tmp" for writing

Any help would be much appreciated.

    First:

Do you have access to that directory?

    Second:

Do you have a virus scanner running.

    Third:

I have not seen that message before so I am only stating the obvious :).

    Henk.

PS I saw you wish list post. Good stuff. (Welcome on the board :))

    Hi jaiume !

    It's a bug within the 3.0.1699 version.
The reason is Media Server cannot open file for writing (in this case the file is in the directory of temporary files) if its pathname is longer than 28 symbols.

    Try the following walk around:
    1. Open the 'Environment Variables' window (Start/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Environment Variables).
    2. Please set the 'TEMP' and 'TMP' system variables (not user variables for the current user !!!) to the 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP' value (or shorter one, like 'C:\TEMP').
    3. Restart 3CX IVR Service and 3CX Media Server Service.
