VOIP Connection

    May be a dumb question but am trying to decide on VOIP service and would like it to be compatible with 3CX.

    Am looking at VOIP thru cable company, they require/provide an EMTA. Does that cause any issues with the PBX?

    The layers of NAT in between you and your provider might be an issue.The more layers- the bigger the problem. Also you have to make sure that they are not blocking ports for STP, RTP, STUN and finally make sure they are not doing any packet filtering.

    These might interfer with the PBX working correctly.
