Our users keep getting logged out after a few minutes of non-use. They get a 'session-expired' error, and they have to log back in. We are using Chrome. Is there a way to extend the idle time before they get automatically logged out?

Hello @edokim

Please note that the only setting for idle time is for status change and not for logging the users out of the web client. Are you experiencing this behaviour on all users?

Happens to all users at one specific site. Ideas?

There might be a cookie manager on the browser that causes this, on the connection is lost that forces the client to disconnect. Does this happen only after a certain period of inactivity or does it happen randomly as well?

Seems to happen fairly randomly. Sometimes it happens after a minute of inactivity and sometimes a user can stay connected for days without it happening. Tried tinkering with Chrome settings, no joy. Tried Firefox, no joy. Could it be something with the router/firewall? There are two wan ports at the site that are load-balancing. Could that be affecting the connections?

We have seen another case where load-balancing was causing the same behaviour so i would definitely consider that to be a possibility.

It was in fact the load balancing that was causing the disconnects and expired sessions. We made the adjustments, and it seems like problem solved. Thank you!

Glad to hear the issue has been resolved.
