Solved Welltech ATA172 Plus - Provisioning Issues

    Hi everyone,
    We're trying to setup a Welltech ATA172 Plus on 3CX V15 and I followed this guide, but I'm not able to see it listed as a phone after I complete the setup. When I log into the ATA itself, it shows the following in the Status Log:

    I searched through the 3CX Forum and found this thread to manually create the .DAT file that the ATA is looking for, but that didn't help either..

    I've opened a case with 3CX Support (pending a response), but I figured I'd reach out to the Community for insight.

    I've attached screenshots of the Status Page and Provisioning Page.

    Hello @Michael Menor

    Have you populated both extensions when configuring the device as shown in step 3? If not please do and try again. If you do not need a second extension then add dummy for test.

    @YiannisH_3CX Assigning a second extension to the ATA worked. I think you guys need to revise your guide to include this: "Two extensions are required. Even if the second extension is a 'dummy' account"

    Glad to hear this worked. This is actually a bug that it has been addressed for SP5 which is currently on beta testing.

    @YiannisH_3CX After being provisioned, what is the username and password for the ATA172 changed to? I'm not able to log into the ATA with the default credentials: root / test

    In SP4 we don not provision a password for FXS/DECT devices so it should still be the default. Unless you downloaded the templates intended for SP5 (in sp5 passwords will be provisioned for FXS/DECT devices). In that case the password should be %%DEVICE_PASSWORD%%
    as there is no password set in the management console for the template to replace the value with. Try it and provide us with a feedback
