Why so long for digital receptionist to pick up on incoming call?

    Okay, I just recorded a new greeting. When I play the greeting, it plays instantaneously, so there is no dead time at the beginning of the recording. However, when someone calls in, ringing stops, then there is a 4-5 second dead time before the voice greeting starts to play. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks.

    Does the same delay occur when calling the DR from an extension? Check the 3CX Activity log to see what is happening at the time of the delay. It might provide a clue.
    Do you have multiple incoming trunk groups? Same behaviour on all?

    Thanks for replying leejor. No to multiple trunk groups. I'll look at the logs. I'm not at the location right now, so I can't call the DR. I'll have to try later. Thanks.
