I'm new to VOIP so I may need yopur advise here.
We are using a Toshiba DK-280 PBX system which is a traditional phone line system.
I just have Exchange 2007 installed so I am considering the UMS option.
I am thinking of have a 3CX server running as:
- An attendant and voicemail system (right now the Toshiba is running on a DOS base system for voicemail). When people call in, the designate extension(s) for answering will be the ECS system, when people press an extention number, it will transfer the call (dial a code to transfer)
-Gateway for voicemail to exchange 2007 server
-VOIP for remote user: when they are out-of-country, they can use laptop to check voicemail, make calls to the States etc...
Here are the questions:
-Will 3CX software work for my scenario?
-Can I install 3CX on the same exchange server?
-What do I need for the 3CX server to receive calls and dial using the PBX system? (FXO, FXS card or external SIP box with FXO, FXS ports?)
thank you in advance.
