Does anyone know of a way that the chat notification can be improved? Currently just the little chat symbol turns blue and unless you have the client up on the screen and are looking at it, users seem to not see it. Then we have to call and say look at chat. Is there a way to make the chat pop up? 3CX sys tray msg, icon on taskbar blink, etc. I have looked and can not find anything. This is a very handy tool and is great for sending notes links etc but not if people do not notice.

    Hi There

You can set the chat window to open on an incoming message. To do this click the 'Chat' Icon then click settings (screwdriver and spanner icon) then tick the box for 'Automatically open chat window on incoming message'.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

Is there a way to tick this box "open chat window on incoming message" as a default centrally for all users?

Unfortunately without this the users don't know they have received a chat message and the function can't be used. We can't rely on users changing settings themselves, it just isn't reliable to hope that users do manual setting changes themselves.

The Ideas forum says they are working on a way to centrally manage client settings, but do not have one at this time. You have to script it. One way that we do it is detailed here
