504 Gateway Time-out

This guide is for 3CX V15 users that receive a “504 Gateway Time-out” message in the 3CX Management Console after a certain period of time.
Cause: Service Stopped
The cause for this can be that the Management Console Service is not started and with this the process “3CXMangementConsole.exe.” In order to fix this navigate to the services (start ⇒ run ⇒ services.msc) of the Windows host and locate the “3CX PhoneSystem 01 Management Console” service. Start it if stopped.
Cause: Service does not start
In case the service “3CX PhoneSystem 01 Management Console” does not start, a common cause is missing Windows updates. Especially on older operating systems such as Windows 7, 8 and Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012. Reason being 3CX v15 uses the latest Microsoft .Net technologies (.Net core) which is missing in older unpatched Windows installations. (start ⇒ run ⇒ wuapp)
Select all available updates and click on “Install.” Upon the installation completed, reboot the host and re-check if any new updates are now available and repeat this process until none are available for install.
