Hi everybody!

I have a customer which does have SNOM M900 Multicell with rnd abt 7 Handsets configured (m70).
We use 1 SNOM D785 and a few Grandstream HT802 and HT801.
Of course we have a SBC onsite. PBX is hosted in a datacenter.

Now the Problem is that the Main Dect Antenna is shown as offline. It is located in a special VOIP VLAN in which all the other Device are members too.

The Snom and the Grandstream devices working normlay - only the DECT Antenna is shown Offline (Handeset are working).

Now my Question:
Does the 3cx PBX pulls the status directly from the dect antenna per WEB or over SBC?
Or is the Base pushing the status directly to the PBX or over the SBC ?

I assume the PBX is pulling the Status directly from the PBX ?
Does somebody know for sure ?

Regards
Michael

Hi Nikos, yes Multicell

I have a M900 multi-cell. Extensions are all M65 with some M25. All base stations and handsets are 530 B1400.

DECT Chain:
Primary: RPN00: GTDECT1
Level 1: RPN04: GTDECT2
Level 1: RPN08: GTDECT3
Level 2: RPN0C: GTDECT4

There's been a longstanding issue whereby if I force reboot the multicell, then the GTDECT1 device is shown as green and connected in the 3CX Admin Console "Voice & Chat" section. But if I was to reboot our firewall it would go red and stay red, even when the handset SIP sessions reconnect. ("Status: OK") in the DECT base station.

Since my handsets are connected and the phones work, then I've just put the red status down as some weird anomaly, in the hope that one day, some update fixes it. I think it was like that in PBX version 18 too, but I can't say for sure. I know that it doesn't happen on my other sites that are not multicell but single cell. I can reboot the firewall at those sites and they go green again in Voice & Chat afterwards.

I assume this is somehow due to the multicell, but that's not the only difference. On the multicell site I have a single SBC which is a High Availability Proxmox VM (so doing the HA with Proxmox rather than SBC HA). On the sites with just a single DECT base station (and some repeaters), I use use a pair of Raspberry Pi SBCs in HA configuration.

I should Wireshark this and report to 3CX for a fix but it has been a lowish priority.

EDIT: As you are probably aware - you only add the Primary device of a SNOM DEC multicell to 3CX and that is the one that shows up as the SBC in the 3CX SBC (with its IP listed), as if it is a single device. It will push all the config to the other multicell members.
