Hi, is there an option to let 3cx know when another app is on-call on an android device? Also applies to iOS but one problem at a time.

Our users are complaining that if they are on a WhatsApp or normal call. When a 3cx call comes in to the queue or ring group they are members of. The 3cx call continues to ring in the background until someone else picks up the call.

Is there an option to automatically status change on Comms activity?

WhatsApp calls, the Android Comms flag asserts, 3cx status changes to DND, call goes through. WhatsApp call ends, Android Comms flag drops, 3cx status changes to whatever it was previously (to avoid putting extensions that were deliberately DND into service)

We do not know what other apps are using in the background (for example telecom api or not)
When you're on a non-3cx call and you receive a 3cx call, you should hear a subtle beeping instead of a full ringtone.

Thanks Tom,
When I say telecom API. I mean the part of the Android os that handles tapi calls. It's been a while since I hacked my own call apps. But that is the API that stops the same conflict between mobile calls and WhatsApp for instance.

If you test it. On a WhatsApp call and have a colleague ring your number normally. You'll get notified (like you said) but it will stop after a few beeps.

The issue is that 3cx doesn't until the call is picked up by another queue member.

That's why I was asking if there was an auto status change that can be applied.

From my understanding and testing just now, Whatsapp only vibrates once and still performs the call. We beep every x amounts of seconds.

Beeping is more prominent then a single vibrate. Other prominent voip apps actually don't even accept the call and will not wait for the call to be disconnected to retry

Hi Tom, this is the feedback I got from the client.

------------
I think it's every second and quite loud to the point of not being able to hear the people on the talking.
------------

Are there any parameters to control the notification volume?

Hi all,
any thoughts on this or should I raise a support ticket? Volume levels should be configurable or better still. Basic functionality should be in place.
