I have 2 SIP trunks coming from same Cisco Call Manager (192.168.1.70) having different Main trunk numbers 012344555 and 012344556.
Both of these Main trunk numbers are configured as DID's and are configured to route to different 3CX extensions as:

Extension 3333 is configured to receive calls from DID 012344555 (SIP Trunk CUCM1).
Extension 3334 is configured to receive calls from DID 012344556 (SIP Trunk CUCM2).

Whenever I dial 012344555 or 012344556, the call gets routed to 3333 using SIP trunk CUCM1.
Why 3CX is not respecting the dialed number 012344556 configured with SIP Trunk CUCM2 and routes the call every time using CUCM1?

Am I doing something wrong? Please advise.

You'll need to look at the activity log in verbose mode and see how 3CX is seeing that call. It's likely that 3CX is seeing the call ending in 6 on trunk 1 (and not 2) and therefor applying the default routing of trunk 1 (I assume that's 3333).

Hi @SweetAction,Thank you for the reply.
Yes. You are absolutely right. I have already checked it and 3CX is indeed defaulting to trunk 1 for the DID ending with 6.
Can you please explain why is it so and advise on how to achieve the above desired routing?

That's going to be something with how you setup the trunk from cucm to 3CX. When CUCM sends the call, it's not sending it over the second trunk.

Why use a second trunk? Why not have multiple DIDs on the same trunk?

Hi @jawadaliqamar

Your issue has to do with source identification. It's probably matching both trunks and routes the call randomly. It may also have to do with your number formatting and from where you are reading the called number.
You will need to play around with your inbound parameters a bit to figure things out. Also I would also recommend using 1 trunk with multiple DIDs. It will make your life easier.
