I'm going to be restoring a complete V18 backup, with FQDN, to a new Version 20 installation.
If I'm not happy or have an issue with V20 can I shut down the V20 installation and then spin back up my previous V18 installation?
I'm not worried about anything that will occur when the V20 was installed. I will be doing this with all users disconnected.
I'm currently testing a restoration without the FQDN and everything looks good, but there is a chance issues could arise when doing an installation with a V18 backup with the FQDN included.

Usually the license allows you to revert within 30 days, but how are you going back to v18? If it's just a server that's off/disconnected, it should work, but a fresh reinstall and restore from backup can be problematic (because installers are build 31 and you need 35 for activation)

I am not sure about the 30 days, if i remember correctly, the licence will convert to v20 during upgrade and is not revertable.

The V18 is just a VM that we would turn off during the transition. Can anyone at 3CX clarify that when you upgrade to V20 your license key is tied to only the V20 installations? Thank you for the replies.

The licence is only v20 after upgrade.

Of course I could be misremembering or it could have changed, but in the past, when you upgrade, the license gets upgraded but allows you to go back within a period of time (7, 10, or 30 days).
