Hey everyone,

I recently inherited some old phones from my workplace when they retired their old PBX and went to a Cloud-hosted provided that provided their own phone hardware. I have a mix of Aastra 6737i and 6757i phones. From my research the only real difference between these is that the 37i models are gigabit VS. 100mbps uplinks. Features appear to be the same.

I factory reset them, and had them working on FreePBX. Now I would like to try 3CX.

I understand these phones are EOL, so I suspect I've already answered most of my questions here and that these are simply no longer supported.

I've already read the following documentation:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/ip-phones/
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/aastra/

There seems to be some out of date information on BOTH of these articles. For the first article it mentions configuring phones manually which no longer seems to even be an option. The second article and some forum artlces seem to indicate that I need to enable something in a template for aastra.ph which no longer appears to exist.

Are these phones just 100% no longer supported? Any way I can import some older configuration or copies of this aastra.ph if someone has it to let me mess around with these phones? This is not for a production system at a business, I'm just experimenting with these as a couple of home phones since I got them for free.

I'm well versed in self-hosting and on-premises installations of servers. I already have 3CX installed on a Virtual Machine and firewall configured. Just new to SIP Phones and getting them to connect.

If there is any way to get these aastra phones working I'm all ears!

Note: If I use the credentials from the 3CX App phone on the MC into my phones config it does ring. I can make outgoing and receive ingoing calls right now, but this is clearly not working as intended and I don't have any configuration control over the phone. When I do this the phone does show up in the Phones section as UNPROVISIONED.

@imperator was able to get me sorted out. Thanks!

For anyone in the future running into issues provisioning these phones, feel free to PM me for details.
