Solved Android App desktop icon

I have new Android 3CX app v 16.3.0.891
I just noticed a gray dot on the 3CX desktop app icon.
Does anyone know what this means? I don't see an new voice messages or chats.
Oops. Found the answer. If I press and hold the icon I get a pop-up with missed call notification and some other options. Cool.

Update - this is actually pretty cool now that I have discovered another piece.
I was able to drag/create a second icon from the first one that is a toggle for silent/not-silent. Brilliant.
