We got the demo account and the call quality is not that great, its a bit laggy .When we get the pro license or enterprise license will call quality improve ?

Is this hosted by 3CX or hosted elsewhere?

Along those lines where are you in relation to where the server is?

Define “laggy?” How are you testing? Are you prioritizing voice packets on your network?

Since you wrote “when,” be aware there’s no migration path from StartUP to dedicated.

I would expect the license used has zero effect on call quality.

As noted by @SteveITS, there are a number of factors that can impact voice quality, but the 3CX edition has no effect on voice quality -- all editions of 3CX will function the same in this regard.

If you are having voice quality issues, the list below offers some things to consider:
  • If your server is hosted in the cloud, and/or you are using SIP trunks, your internet connection (bandwidth, latency, etc.) can have a huge impact on voice quality. Make sure your internet connection is sufficient for all your demands including voice, browsing, data uploads, etc.

  • Your internal network can impact voice quality too. For example, if you are an engineering firm, for example, passing around large AutoCAD files can impact the available bandwidth internally. Be sure to prioritize SIP traffic within your internal network

  • Where your 3CX server is located can have an impact too. If hosted in the cloud, make sure the server's location is as close to your physical location as possible. For example, we have staff in the USA and India. Because our 3CX server is located in the USA, for our staff in India they can experience some latency as voice traffic has to route halfway around the world.

  • Your 3CX server hardware / infrastructure has to be sized appropriately for your needs. Naturally, if you are trying to run a large number of simultaneous calls on insufficient hardware, you will run into voice quality issues.

  • Remote workers can have issues too if their home internet connections are insufficient. When kids get home from school and start playing video games, streaming movies, watching YouTube videos, etc. That can have a huge impact on voice quality.

  • When using a softphone (web, windows, electron) the utilization on your PC can also impact voice quality. For example, if your anti-virus software is performing a virus scan, Windows patches are being installed, or other resource intensive applications are in use, these applications can impact your voice quality. However, with modern PCs this has (in my experience) become less of a concern.

  • Running your phones over WIFI may be problematic. As a best practice, I ALWAYS recommend hard-wiring your clients / phones rather than trying to do voice over WIFI. It can be done successfully, but it often requires better hardware and certainly a strong signal.
I'm sure there are other factors that can impact your voice quality, but these are some of the obvious considerations.
