Cant answer calls on handsfree (volkswagen, hyundai)

Hi,

We recently started using 3CX and are utilizing the mobile app while driving. However, we are unable to accept calls when using Android Auto. Although we can hear the ringing through the car's sound system and can make calls, the only way to accept a call is through the phone's display. The call does not appear in the Android Auto interface, and the steering wheel buttons also don’t work.

Do you have any suggestions?

The Android App does not have support for Android Auto. We are currently in talks with Google and are on the waiting list.
Forcing Android Auto for the app, will end up in your situation, where calls come in but no Answer/decline or caller information is shown.

You can though use regular bluetooth connection with Telecom API which will allow for this

How can I force the 3CX app to use the Telecom API? I use Maps for navigation in the car, so I need Android Auto to stay connected. Is there any way to control 3CX calls using the steering wheel buttons while Android Auto is running?

Do you suggest that I need to stop using Android Auto if I want to use 3CX while driving? I really hope there will be an acceptable solution very soon.

We are still awaiting from google side. We are in contact with them, once we get green light, we can start working on it.
