This happens with 3CX for Android 15.5.346.651 on Xperia X compact 8.0.0 Patchlevel Sept 2018.
To reproduce:
Close the 3cx Client (regardless if you close or close ignore push, but, make sure it is closed, and remove also from the last used programs menu). Go into the phone contacts, click a number to dial. The phone asks if you want to use 3cx or a different app. Choose just once.
The 3cx App will launch, but no number will be dialled. Also, the number will not be seen under the call history.
Now, push the 3cx App in the background, make another try to dial the number. This time the call will be started.
I dont think this is expected behaviour? Its a little frustrating that you have to check first if the app is already loaded before starting to dial.
