The addition of the "Calendar" dropdown in scheduling a web meeting has introduced unneeded complexity and caused widespread confusion for our clients.

Is there a way to disable the "Calendar" dropdown list or at least limit the options presented to the end user?

The options are massively confusing to end users and really difficult to manage as sys admin. More depth below.

Many of our clients standardize on Outlook as their email client. The only option that sends calendar invites to an Outlook client is "3CX (direct email)". This is really confusing.

Even when a client's email services are backed by 365, users are NOT logging into their 365 portal directly. They use their desktop Outlook client.

When they select Office 365 as their option, it pulls up a web page and prompts them login to their portal. Some of our end users have never even been to the portal before, we got quite a number of calls asking what this was and if it was safe.

Then once logged in, users were having navigating adding the appointment to the web based calendar. They mostly didn't understand what they were looking at and how it worked.

Beyond that users don't understand the difference between Office 365 and Outlook Online. They flat out don't. We've gotten calls from users saying they can't log in to their email any more becuase they selected the wrong option.

And in environments where we have standardized on Microsoft, we ask users not to use Google and in some cases we flat out block it. Users where we don't block it often have their Google logged in as their personal Gmail.

Some users aren't understanding what this does and they are adding work meetings to their personal Gmail calendars. We've gotten calls from people missing meetings because they put it on their Gmail calendar instead of their work calendar.

Lastly, as the folks providing IT support to these clients we don't ask them to know anything about their technology stack or backend. If I quized every office worker which email service they use, 60% or more would have no idea what I was talking about. And that's more than fine. Why are we presenting them with choice? As their sys admin, I give these folks a secure little tech world to roam around in that feels free and helpful. But that is securely locked down and gives them only safe and correct choices. Why are you are poking holes in my safe little bubble worlds?

The added complexity has caused wide-spread confusion for our clients and generated more support calls for us this week than I care to count. And users are FRUSTRATED.

We would like to remove the dropdown completely and go back to the built-in 3CX emails.

Or at the very least be able to remove options that don't align with the cilent's tech stack!!

Is this an available feature or something we could get implemented ASAP?

Looking forward to a reply.

I totally agree, we reaching a complexity which is mostly not good for users. Please hire some 3CX Sysadmins for Beta Testing your feauters. I don't say that the features are bad, but on some points 3CX creates a massive overhead.

3CX folks - you should be giving the sys admins options to make technology choices, NOT END USERS.

Please remove the ability for the end user to select which calendar option to use when scheduling their meetings.

This has caused us so many headaches and mass confusion. Please roll this back!
