Echo on one plus android

I have tried to use the android client on numerous occasions while out of the office and anyone I call or talk to says they always hear their own voice echo back to them. Echo cancelation is on so not sure why it won't work for me. Any suggestions as to fix this as the client is pretty much unusable.

Try toggling the Car/Bluetooth support(telecom API) setting under advanced settings.

Yes agreed - Car/Bluetooth support(telecom API) should be off. Try it.
Either off or on.,
