External ringtones

We are using Polycom VVX311. When making internal calls to extensions the user receiving the call gets the normal incoming ringtone on the Polycom, as soon as a external number calls we get the ring sound you would receive for dialling out when it is actually an incoming call... any ideas?

I am having the same issue on a VVX 150. It rings correctly on internal calls but for external inbound calls it rings using the Ringback-style ringtone and i cannot change it either. are you still having an issue or did you find a solution yet?

Ok so i think i may be on to something just havent quite figured out how im gonna go about it.Under the phones tab in the admin settings page if you find your phone on the right side click the 3 little dots for the option of that phone and you should have the option to see the configuration. The config on mine showed it was set to ringer 12 for external calls which is the ringback tone I was hearing. Anyway if you have admin access to your 3CX system then on the Advanced tab towards the bottom on the left side of the screen you can then select Templates and should be able to select a generic XML config template for your phone and save it to edit or copy and paste to edit in an XML editor or Notepad whatever. I just am still deciding how I want to go about changing and uploading but it might be something. I don't know if it will work or not but at least its something to start looking at. I will attach a few screenshots for a visual aid.

We've got 15 IP phones so not sure I want to try and break the system! Let me know how you get on
