Hi all, log post ahead
For the sake of simplicity we have just registered the phone usnig user/pass and server ip and port.
We are talking about 10 phones. Some work, some don’t. they are connected to a cisco switch.
SO now, for the problem:
For inbound calls, when I answer i get no audio and on the other hand it keeps ringing. I hang up, the other side keeps ringing. Then we wait like 1-2 minutes
If we do the test again as soon as i pick up the receiver to make a call i get busy and when i hit # the ip is 0.0.0.0. we wait again to take ip and we do the test again. Sometimes it works, but most of the times inbound does not work. If we do outbound however, then again, sometimes it goes through.
We have packet captures of calls and syslog from fanvil. We are waiting for Fanvil suport to answer.
this is the switch port config :
- 3CX Version, e18.0.9.31
- Server OS, Debian
- Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? . On-premises
- IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware version Fanvil H2U v2 , v2.4.8 different firmwares same problem
- Provisioning Method: Local – so phones are in another subnect. We also did test with phones in the same subnet as 3cx and had same issue.
- Trunk Provider or VoIP Gateway Make/Model N/A – problem on internal calls, no external calls for these extensions
- Has the Firewall Checker passed: No – because this pbx is intranet, we just activate internet to get updates but otherwise no communication with exterior is possible
- Are custom Phone Templates being used: both yes and no. Problem happens if phone is provisioned or not
