I have 12+ Fanvil phones (X4U, X5U, X6U v1 and v2 via PoE) that have 'gone bad'. At one site, there is is a 50% failure rate in just three weeks. We come in every Monday to find three or four phones stuck at the 3CX logo screen...a reboot immediately lights BLF (never flashes to press # to enter Post Mode) and illuminates screens with a 3CX logo but never a chance to enter into Post Mode. There have been other threads on this topic and my issue is the exact same as m.nussbaumer... whom I have reached out to in private message but no response.
Fanvil support told me to contact the reseller about warranty or otherwise they are to be considered defective. Warranty is out, I believe I will have to be out on Fanvil.
I don't think the phones are truly defective, but there is definitely a problem that I cannot get any assistance in solving.
Is there anybody out there that may have come across this issue and a way to fix it besides using them as paper weight?
My PoE switch seems fine, I have replaced all 10 Fanvils with Yealink and never a problem, but my Fanvil phones are dying off every weekend. Perhaps in a few more weeks I'll have all Yealink and no more problems...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am running 3CX hosted v20U4.
