With the new Android Auto functionality in the latest 3CX Android App v5.4 Beta 3, the ability to add favourites for team members is a great addition. However, the current limitation where only local extensions can be marked as favourites is proving problematic.
In our setup, we have around 50 extensions coming in from a bridged PBX, several of which we call regularly. At the moment, these cannot be added to favourites, which means they cannot be quickly accessed in Android Auto. This significantly affects usability while driving, where simplicity and minimal interaction are crucial.
It would be extremely helpful if bridged extensions could be added to favourites, or at the very least, to include a simple dial pad in the android auto app so we could manually enter an extension when needed (since these are extensions we call on the regular we know the numbers by heart already).
Also being able to dial an extension directly is much faster than searching through the full extension list, which also has limitations as mentioned in the blog post by 3CX.
P.S. This may not strictly belong in the Android App section since favourites are a global feature, so please feel free to move the thread to the appropriate category.
