Generic SIP Trunk option not available in SMB

Why is the Generic SIP Trunk option not available in SMB ?
We are partner with a SIP provider not included in the "supported trunk providers" list of SMB PBX. But we can't force them to apply for it.
Is there any logical reason for excluding the Generic SIP Trunk option?

SMB is meant to be simple and one-step setup. Generic providers are not supported as it would go against that and add a lot of support overhead.

You're better off using a Hosted full system or self-host completely.

Hello Aron, free and smb version must use supported voip providers only, these are solutions that work out of the box with these providers that are easy to configure.

If you plan to use a generic provider then you will need to use a dedicated installation.

I found it peculiar because I frequently advise using WOCOM, a local ITSP in Jamaica, with 3CX. This is due to the slow turnaround of landline services in the region. I strongly suggest opting for the on-premises version or the hosted version with your preferred cloud provider. Despite 3CX evolving, I think having generic providers as an option is important. Local carriers offer support and documentation that can significantly streamline client integration.

Than you need to host by your self. 3CX cant support every provider.
