HI.

I am unable to add guest uses to direct routing,
The map_users.ps1 powershell script always throws this error on guest users.

Set-CsUser : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
At C:\Users\erkel\Downloads\map_users.ps1:10 char:1
+ Set-CsUser -Identity erkel_guestdomain.co.nz#EXT#@hostingdomain. ...
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Set-CsUser], NullReferenceException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.NullReferenceException,Microsoft.Rtc.Management.AD.Cmdlets.SetOcsUserCmdlet

The full command being
Set-CsUser -Identity erkel_guestdomain.co.nz#EXT#@hostingdomain.onmicrosoft.com -OnPremLineURI "tel:+64988888888;ext=111" -EnterpriseVoiceEnabled $true -HostedVoiceMail $true

Any normal users is fine, it is only guest users that have been invited from different domains that error.

Anyone have guests working, the active directory sync works etc, just not the user mapping with the powershell script.

Cheers

Stephen

my gut is to try quoting the user - likely the # is being interpreted.
Code:
Set-CsUser -Identity 'erkel_guestdomain.co.nz#EXT#@hostingdomain.onmicrosoft.com' -OnPremLineURI "tel:+64988888888;ext=111" -EnterpriseVoiceEnabled $true -HostedVoiceMail $true
May not be the issue

maybe also can try something like

Code:
$user = 'erkel_guestdomain.co.nz#EXT#@hostingdomain.onmicrosoft.com'
Set-CsUser -Identity $user -OnPremLineURI "tel:+64988888888;ext=111" -EnterpriseVoiceEnabled $true -HostedVoiceMail $true
