Help me understand provisioning in v20

Ive been running a system for awhile now but very rarely have to add physical phones. All of our phones onsite were setup using RPS to our server in the cloud when we were on v18 and everything seemed to be working perfect.

How do I do this in v20 now? I know I can setup a router phone or an SBC, but is there a way to not have to?

STUN provisioning is not supported therefore you will need an SBC or Router phone for remote provisioning of the ip phone. For the complete list of the 3CX Supported Devices you may also check here.

The supported router phones can have up to 10 normal phones provisioned behind them.

You can block the sending of an RPS request to the 3CX RPS server (well, its actually the same RPS server but with a 3CX account) via the phone page options



Just disable the highlighted option and 3CX will not send a request to the RPS server, and you will be able to use your own mechanisms to provision the phone.
