Hi all!

How can I force a guest using 3CX Webmeeting app (iOS or Android) join in a meeting using his/her name?

Since we are a Healthcare Business the Webmeeting Report must inform the real name of the patient instead of "guest" or at least some kind of information where can be possible identify the patient.

Thanks

Hi,
As far as I know you can't force them but you can ask them to go to Settings and change Meeting User Name once and it would be shown in all following meetings.

Note: If they want to apply the changes in the same meeting they need to disconnect and reconnect again.

Thanks! I have changed my process. As I need to certify that both, name and e-mail, will be part of the Meeting Report, I'll send to the participant an invitation e-mail instead of send the ClickToMeet link.

Glad to help!
If the meeting is not public, Invitations are always the best way even if 3cx doesn't accept email addresses like this:

descriptive name <[email protected]>

that almost all email programs support. It could be an idea if not yet suggested.

Unless you use the import feature where the .csv must be in the following format: namesurname,[email protected]

Keep safe!!!

With the next update of our Mobile APPs, the user will have a dedicated Name input field in the app as users have it when using the browser. First to come to iOS

I see this name field on Android, but not IOS.

Is there a new app for webmeeting and 3cx on IOS? Or is it one app now?

version 10.6.6 for iOS is currently on the way allowing guests to set their name on open link joins.
A matter of apple's approval until it will be released.
