How to start a chat on whatsapp from 3cx?

Really this function here in Brazil is essential. It would be very interesting if 3CX released this possibility to start conversations, because as mentioned earlier, 99% of Brazilians use Whatsapp. Another important point to note is that many competitors of 3CX already have this function using Meta approved templates!

The feature to Start a Chat will be needed here also. When will 3cx provide this feature!

Its not as simple as that. "Unsolicited" Outbound messages have to be pre approved by Whatsapp/Facebook - its very strict. So we have not unlocked this yet from our product. Definitely we will enable this in a future update via our templates feature, but i dont think you should see Whatsapp as a marketing tool because you will get your Business account blocked by the user or Whatsapp.
The initiate a whatsapp conversation is a very important feature for many businesses. Specially businesses what have lots of international clients which only use whatsapp to communicate and not SMS.
We would not use this for marketing purposes, this is strictly to be able to communicate more efficiently with our client base. For some reason Whatsapp has become the preferred method of conversation by many.

If you can please put this feature to be worked into the system, many of us will be extremely grateful.

Aye the bug with the template has been solved but being able to start a conversation or reply after 24 hours is a must to start using the feature.
We want to implement this for our HR department so they can communicate with our workers that are not in the 3CX system.
A simple META approved default message that someone can reply to and start the conversation is what is currently missing.

We love 3CX, and our customers too. But this is their request, we need to be able to chat with the current customers or reply a couple of days later. I would be great to add this since META supports it. We have lost a couple of accounts to some online only software that handles whatsapp better. Client said call volume is lower and chat volume is higher so they went with the chat solution. :(
best wishes to all

Same problem here (Brazil). Clients are demanding better whatsapp solutions. We are searching for tools that better handles the message communication with Whatsapp.
Start a message and, at least, some auto answers (bot) would soften this issue.

Using automation tools like chatbots can definitely help in providing quick and efficient responses to your clients. Have you considered exploring some popular chatbot platforms like Dialogflow, ManyChat, or Tars? These tools can help you create custom chatbots for your clients and automate your communication processes. Let me know if you need any more help with this.

Thanks but the idea is to keep the client and the SALE all within 3CX. 3CX Hit a home run when it unified all communications when it came out. But this is a fluid and ever changing business, they very wisely added Facebook Messenger, and then added Whatsapp, .. now it just need to keep up with the pace and the demand of the clients. I do have third party tools for whatsapp, but i would love to have them on 3CX and keep it simple to sell as an overall tool.

ohh understand

Any news on this? it''s any ETA to send first-message/template to user from 3cx?

Hello,

Are there any updates on whether it will be possible to start WhatsApp chats from 3CX in the future? The claim that this is limited by the WhatsApp API is nonsense. I wrote a plugin for my Nextcloud that allows sending calendar invitations via WhatsApp. Additionally, with my plugin, I can send individual messages to my customers. I simply created a template in the WhatsApp Manager with a header and footer, and a variable for the individual text that I can customize. For example:

Dear Customer,

We have a message for you: {{1}}

Best regards, Your Company.

The goal isn't to do marketing but to send important information to existing customers, such as appointment changes or requests for a callback. I don't understand why a company like 3CX can't achieve this when I, as an amateur programmer, can. I hate it when something is started but not fully completed. I also don't understand how 3CX can claim that this is due to limitations of the WhatsApp API. Such matters should be approached pragmatically and solution-oriented. Where there's a will, there's a way!

Best regards!

For me, I'm using another tool synchronized with 3cx that works to notify the customer, either by sending a template or by using a chatbot. When the customer starts the conversation, I receive a notification via 3cx and then I respond to it. I am afraid that mentioning the name of this tool will be in violation of the policy of this forum. and
I confirm that these Limitations are from Meta Company for sure only one way to start messaging customers is by use an Approved Message Template.

Currently we are still using this functionality with another provider that allows message initiation until this feature becomes available.
So you only use that another provider, right? Not 3CX for answering and that another provider for message initiation at the same WhatsApp account, right?

I wonder, if it is possible to use WhatsApp-API with to Integrations: 3CX for answering and another service provider for auto-response (e. g. you get an message saturday evening and are unable to answer within 24hr).

Keep in mind that wile other platforms charge you specifically for WhatsApp messaging; 3CX integrates for free.
For sending messages for free, you need some QR code/web WhatsApp integration.
When using API, you need to pay(leave your credit card ready to accept charges)

I am huge fan of 3CX, is the best solution in the market BUT.... I am interested in any integration that helps 3CX be a better solution.@abodolla, please share
