Initiating WhatsApp chat through 3CX

Hi Guys
I'm aware of the current limitations not allowing to initiate a chat through WA but only recieve messages.
Anyone successfully integrating other tools for this, or is there a workaround through a SMS API for instance?

It's been a deal breaker a few times for us that we are not able to initiate messaging through WA.

Also... any updates to this in v20?

No changes to this in V20. You cannot initiate a chat using WhatsApp.

We have some customers also asking about this so is there a reason (technical or otherwise) this functionality is not coming? It would be helpful to give the customers a (filtered) reason why.
