Hi
3Cx v16.0.7.930 on a Windows Server 2019 Standard box in house.
Email is Custom SMTP server linked to an account on our in house exchange server.

So everything has been fine until now. a user contacted me today to say when he schedules a meeting, he gets his notification email, but at the top it says "You haven't sent this meeting invitation yet" and no entry in his Outlook calendar.
All internal users added as participants get a similar email. No entry in their Outlook calendars either.

External participants get their email with an attachment as normal (Which puts the meeting into their calendars when clicked)

However, what's weird is they do get an outlook reminder pop up, 10 minutes before the meeting! Even though nothing is showing in the calendar.

This is the same for web meetings and audio conference calls.

I tested with a couple of audio conference calls and got the same problem. The conference call did go ahead automatically. Everyone's phones rang at the right time.

I hope that's enough info for you.

Like I said, everything was working ok before. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
James

Fix it please - asap - thanx

Please Fix it, my customer are verry angry !!!

Just experienced this problem first hand.

Overall the change in how scheduling works basically broke something that was working perfectly fine... very literally broke it and broke it by making it overly complicated.

Start rant...

Why? Why did you guys change how this works when noone was asking for this to change and there are litterally dozens of other feature requests out there that you haven't taken up!!!

My clients would really like the ability to dial by first name! And we are still waiting for full featured texted from the desktop softphone and smart phone app.

I heard on the forum that the goal is to push folks into web-based and to drop support for the softphones... if you do you are going to loose a lot of us!!! Like literally none of my clients use the web interface and treat is as a nice to have if they are ever out of town without their laptops.

End rant...

Back to the topic at hand.

Scheduling meetings is a core part of the product and it just suddenly changed to become overly complicated!

With the new options, clients are confused as to what to pick. And when we standardize on one type of email in a corporate environment (aka not google) we don't want the user to see anything that even hints they have the option to use Google products. Now folks are ending up with work meetings booked on their personal Gmail calendars

To cut through the complication, we have instructed clients to select the 3CX emails. Which they still find confusing.

And now the funtionality isn't working at all!!!!

This is so frustrating. You guys are creating support nightmares for us. Did you ask anyone that manages a corporate environment with SECURITY STANDARDS how this would play out?

Any thoughts on this issue? or recommendations? Currently running version: 16.0.1078 and still having the issue. I understand this is seen as an outlook issue as that seems to be the one affected by the changes, but it did work before the changes. I get three different issues when I have tested. OWA says it needs moved to the calendar folder, so not sure what would have changed for that to happen. I get that in outlook as well. When opened in outlook it tells me the message has not been sent and trying to send it at that point does not work. I can save it to my calendar but that seems like an issue that should be able to be resolved. Sending from different sources does not change the results. We use direct and others have tried their own exchange/mail servers and gotten similar results.

the issue in outlook appeared with Outlook 2007 and remained ever since. In brief, this only applies to Outlook and then the organizer email in the ICS is = to the Outlook email account. For whatever reason in this constellation outlook does not like/recognize that some external source created an event for the user.

Back in the day, it was fixable with a Reg hack.

If it is still valid I cannot tell.

The regedit fix is confimred working with Office365 16.0.13426.20330
relevant path for Office 365: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar

After adding the DWORD "ExtractOrganizedMeetings" with a value of "1" a doubleclick on the .ics generates a corresponding calendar entry even for the organisator.
