Is the registration of 10DLC taking forever because of Flowroute, or just in general?

We have a client that's in the same boat. We submitted our 10DLC registration 2 weeks ago and still no ETA..

I'm tempted to port their SMS numbers away from Flowroute and into Voxtelsys. Can you tell me how long 10DLC registration takes on your platform?
I called flowroute today just for fun and I had one in about a week ago and they still said no ETA. I said thanks, and ported them over to voxtelesys today.

One of the selling points for 3CX has always been its open standards approach to SIP trunk providers which allow providers to seek certification unfortunately the number of preferred providers has dwindled down to two over recent times both of which do not provide a full complement of capabilities for what 3CX offers.

There are 3 supported providers that lack the same full complement of 3CX offerings, however two of them are now under the same corporate umbrella.

There are currently 10 supported providers available to dedicated systems, however only one Skyetel provides a somewhat complete compliment of what 3CX offers, unfortunately they changed their pricing last fall to require a minimum of $25 a month which makes it unattractive to very small businesses that self-host.

After the fiasco with Flowroute and 10DLC it is clear that we are very limited in the US not the same as the days of RBOC but close, one in the number of certified providers and two with providers that actually support all that 3CX can do.

Yes, we can of course piece meal some functions, but we always run into conflicts with a chosen provider when a client changes their mind says something like I want to sms on my main BTN or i want to fax.

Would it be possible for 3CX to add some focus to the acquisition of new certified providers in the US so we have a full complement of offerings the map to 3CX's capabilities and not be limited to one or two carriers?

Thank you for the consideration...

@illcsales curious to see what features are lacking in the supported providers?

@Kevin@voxtelesys I am referring to this chart:
https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/usa/

For example, you are the only preferred provider that supports SMS through 3CX although Callcentric supports it through their web and their app.

Supported providers lacing fax support, Clip No Screening Support and so on, very few check all boxes in one carrier.

Submitted two weeks ago 10DLC with flowroute. Still waiting.

I filled out the 10 DLC Registration with FlowRoute on 4/18 and have called and emailed several times asking for updates. Finally yesterday I got an email saying we have some incomplete information. I also watched the Webinar last week and found out we have to have an opt-in form on our website so I'm having a guy build that. Would have been real nice to know this when we signed up with FlowRoute in March. The first I heard of it was 4/15/24 and it was shut off 4/17/24

I submitted 5 weeks ago and still no response from their team....

I think it's best to contact Flowroute directly. As 3cx, we cannot do anything from our side.

We have contacted them. I just wanted to reply to this thread.

Same here, we are at 5 weeks. I already started to port all our numbers out and somehow that was faster than waiting for them. 4 calls to flow routes, "We are processing these tickets as fast as possible, no ETA", so no help there.

I want to add that we too are frustrated with Flowroute. They had a Zoom call that explain the process a couple of weeks ago and apologize but we are nearly 1 month out of requesting 10DLC campaign and have submitted twice. When we attempted to call in support was not helpful. I understand companies have growing pains to go through, but flowroute had ample time to engineer a system and prepare of this. Hopefully they will get this sorted out. In the mean time, we are looking at alternative solutions too.

I saw a post by @Nick Galea that VOIP.ms will likely be joining supported providers for sms soon which is great first step but at least here in the US we need more providers as referenced in my post above.

I just went through a huge issue with one of my trunks because there was not a provider that met the needs outside of Flowroute so I had to go to the dark side and use a provider that is no longer supported.

I had to port the number and throw up a generic trunk not ideal, but the grandfathered template is working with another client so let's make lemonade out of lemons until a better solution presents itself.

Hoping and praying for some growth in the number supported providers, moving to a new provider abruptly is never a good thing...

Good to hear. We also have a VoIP.ms account so that sounds promising. Yes, we too may have to move to an unsupported provider to get around this mess temporarily.

It took 20 days for them to get back to us, with a number of use case questions completely unrelated to our business. We also are a low use text and response use case. I think it's only at the "Submission" stage as well, will update on total time.
