Hi all,

Can someone please help? One of our clients likes 3CX and wants to use the 'Update presence from Teams client to 3CX apps' feature, which allows them to change their status in Teams instead of 3CX when they are in a meeting. However, this feature does not work properly.

To clarify, our client has 3CX v20 update 2

We have enabled M365 for them and followed the Microsoft 365 Integration information provided: "How to Integrate your PBX with Microsoft 365 | 3CX," and the setup works perfectly.

I have tested the following and provided the results below:
- When we select 'Update presence from 3CX Apps to Teams Clients,' it works fine with no issues. Users can change their status in 3CX, and it updates their Teams status without a problem.
- When we select 'Update presence from Teams to 3CX apps' and click 'Authorize' as instructed, the user's status change to 'DoNotDisturb' in Teams does not update the 3CX status.

I can confirm that users have the required Microsoft 365 license, they have been added to Sync Users, and the 'Authorize' button has been pressed.

Any advice, solutions, or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

I also have trouble getting the "Update presence from Teams clients to 3CX app" running.

I have done every step in the guide here : https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/microsoft-365/
Update presence from 3CX app to Teams Clients with the same configuration works flawlessly.

Has anyone ever got it running ?

We do not use teams direct routing, is it a hidden prerequisite ?

Hi, I had the same issue, and noticed that a permission was missing in Entra's 3CX App registration. Check if you have granted Presence.ReadWrite.All

Go to Entra -> Applications -> App registration -> 3CX Phone System -> API permission

Other simplest solution would be to delete the 3CX app in Entra and then reconfigure the integration in 3CX.

Hi,
I checked all the permission and everything was fine.
I had it working by going to the user profile and uncheck calendar sync and save
Then wait about 10 min and check calendar sync.
Thank you

Are you restricting the countries that can access your HTTPS port (port 443 or 5001)?

Make sure you are not limit access to the HTTPS port, as Microsoft's servers may not necessarily be in the same country as you.
