Six months ago we announced that we’re reviewing our Teams integration as it was difficult to support. We announced that there might be major changes to the integration. After careful review, we’re now pleased to report that we’re going to keep the integration largely as is!

What Teams Integration Is Intended For

The 3CX ...

16sc makes sense...

24sc would be useless for many companies...

Glad to know it will stay tho!

Hi Guillaume - Absolutely thats the minimum :)

@Nick Galea That is awesome news! Requiring Enterprise Edition makes complete sense. Hopefully you find a 16SC is sufficient.

Good news,
When you say choose one or the other based on the call, can we not do this already or am i misunderstanding?. also the presence sync does that mean we can map the teams/office 365 ones to certain ones on 3cx because so far i have found when people go as away on teams (default to 5 mins away from keyboard) it stops all calls based on that mapping for 3cx
thanks

I always said: if a company can afford Teams Phone Standard licenses for their users, they can afford an Enterprise license and the required SSL certificate.

Otherwise, why even do it? Lol

Yes, I just wanted to avoid misunderstandings :-) , indeed.
I agree. I don't think it's relevant for the PRO license either.
It is in our interest that 3CX keep certain features exclusive to Enterprise to demonstrate the added value of this type of licensing.

Plus, it gives more budget to 3CX R&D department for new 3CX features and integration ! Win - Win for all !

This is awesome news, Nick!! Thank you for your careful consideration with this, as the Teams Integration is one of 3CX's standout components that sets it apart from the competition.

Again, really great news.

Indeed Enterprise. I hope that 16SC will not be a hard limit inside the license. Because when you take into how migration projects work, you start with a small license (4/8 SC) in the pilot phase and check a features and if everything is working for the customer you bump it up to 64SC. But i get the point that some people can't see what it really means if you have two phonesystems working together or against eachother

That's what POCs are for....

is that mean call forking feature between 3CX and Teams still stay too?

No this is not recommended I am afraid. Its not something we can guarantuee that will work.

Am I correct in my understanding that all users must be synced to Teams. We have customer who just use Teams integration for a few users, or Yealink meeting room solutions and all other staff use the 3CX clients?

Hmm...this is still a bit confusing for me, unfortunately. I am just not totally familiar with the term "forking". Need to understand what this means specifically, because I fear we do have clients using this component of the integration. But not certain..
