MS Teams status sync

Question: is the MS Teams status sync to 3CX also applying to users that have teh MS Teams integration disabled?

Reason: We have some users where we don't want the MS Teams integration enabled for them (they do have a MS365 account but they hardly use it)
their phones go into DND anyway and I am suspecting that it is the teams status sync. I thought the status would only sync for users where the Teams integration is enabled in 3CX.

Users > the user > Options > M365 > Sync Presence
