Multicast Tannoy function - Delay in message picked up and broadcast

Hello all,

We have an end user who is using a Fanvil X42-V2 phone. When sending a multicast / tannoy message to all 3CX users, there is a noticeable delay in the multicast message being picked up and broadcast which causes an “echo” in the rooms.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any info how rectifying this issue?

To note, this has only started since installing the new X4U-V2 phone.

Hello,

I had something similar to this happen after deploying a mislabeled phone using the X4U template instead of the X4U-V2 template. Can you confirm that you used the correct template when assigning the phone to an extension?

Also, the following may be useful (for me and for anyone else who may jump in to assist with troubleshooting)

• Which version of 3CX are you running?
• Is it on-premise, 3CX hosted, or self-hosted?
• What does the switching infrastructure look like at this site?
