Mute chat & join/leave sound

Hello All,

We recently had a big conference via 3CX.

I disabled the chat & join leave sound for the presenter and my pc.
The only enabled microphone was the presenter.

Every time someone left or joined it played the sound.

Is there any way to completely mute that sound or did I encounter a bug that it was still heard even though it was disabled?

Hi Martin, to be fair, the option says that it mutes the chat & join sounds, not the 'leave' sounds.


When you toggle this option to off, then participants joining don't generate a sound, but when they leave it does.
I just tested this on both V16 and V18 and the behavior is consistent.

We shall discuss it with the rest of the team though to see what we can do as it kind of makes sense that these 2 functions go together.

I thought the join and leave sounds would be treated equally.
