Newbie questions for integration

Hi there!
I want to look at setting up Whatsapp integration so we can start setting this up for our customers too. However, im a novice with Facebook/Meta etc.

At the moment we have a Facebook company page associated to a few user accounts - Is this the correct starting point or does the business page need its own login?

If i've read the guide correctly, I go directly to developers.facebook.com and follow instructions?

This guide says You must have a WhatsApp Business Platform account set up with a phone number added - Is this a seperate thing?

I feel like i've fallen at the first hurdle.
